Dark Ocean

In this painting, I can see a beach chair, an umbrella, and a palm tree near an ocean shore. The moon is bright and  its light is illuminating over the dark blue water. I see different shades of blue and even some gray. I see the blues more around the moon and on the water. For shape I see half a circle for the moon, a cylinder for the umbrella pole,  and I see lines around the chair, the lighting from the moon, etc. There is no texture in this artwork. This painting is very soothing, I enjoy how dark and calming it is.  I think in my opinion the most important part to this piece would be the moon, because of how much it stands out. It's very bright and it caught my eye the most. The reason the artist chose to do this landscape was because she wanted to be reminded of the time she went to the beach, and how it looked at night with  the blue. I personally love this art piece, especially since blue is one of my favorite colors, along with the darkness. I think they tie together so well. I think the artist did best with the water and the moon. I like how the made the moon illuminate on the water. There's nothing about the piece that I dislike, but maybe instead of using gray for the palm tree, the chair, and the umbrella she could try adding a silhouette of the light from the moon on the objects. Overall, I'm in love with this painting she did an amazing job on this!!
Blue Light

In this painting, I can see some very creepy heads that
seem to be peeking over some mountains staring at a young girl on a  dark snowy night. I also noticed the different shades of purple and the white and black highlights for the snow and mountains/Rocks. I can see that  lines  and shapes are present in the heads, the trees. I can see that the monsters appear to be staring directly at the little girl
The artist made this piece because she has a fear of tall creepy unidentifiable entities and so she made this piece to show that. The art makes me feel uncomfortable in a good way. I like the spooky vibe it's intentionally supposed to give off.
What I liked about the piece was the eerie atmosphere of the snow in the night, and how the monsters are peeking over. It's something you wouldn't expect to see peeping over you, especially at night.
